Matching the curriculum

Boardworks English has been extensively rewritten and updated in line with the renewed KS3 Framework. Together with the English Grammar and Skills Toolkit, Boardworks KS3 English now offers complete coverage of the renewed Framework for KS3 English.

With four times the amount of audio as in the previous version of KS3 English, brand-new recordings bring key texts to life.

KS3 English now supports an Assessing Pupils' Progress approach. Teacher's notes offer suggestions for using APP and a traffic light system has been added to worksheets.

A detailed mapping grid is included, showing how the resources match to the renewed KS3 Framework.

Brand-new teaching material

KS3 English has been extensively rewritten in line with the renewed Framework objectives, with hundreds of new slides added to the product. The new material includes four times as much audio, a wealth of new artwork and brand-new editable, differentiated worksheets.

Integrated drama activities have been added throughout, covering strand 4 of the renewed Framework.

A new Analysing Language unit has been added across all three years of study to map to the new strand '10.2 Commenting on language use' objective.

The Media unit has been extended across all three years of study, enabling progression in this area.

New supporting resources

Boardworks KS3 English now contains additional material to aid your teaching, including differentiated worksheets, extension activities and detailed mapping grids. GCSE bridging material is also included throughout the presentations, to help students prepare for KS4 English.

New extension activities and differentiated worksheets to cater for students of different levels are now included, helping you to adapt the lessons to the needs of your class.

Clearly defined, editable learning objectives slides at the beginning of presentations help you to plan your lessons and let the students know what's being covered.

Brand-new teacher's notes provide ideas for using the activities in the classroom, opportunities for self-assessment and suggested answers.
