Boardworks have been proud to work in partnership with a number of LA's to implement a consistent approach to teaching with ICT across all the schools in an authority. New for Autumn 2008 is our Boardworks Local Authority Pack, a particularly cost-effective way for a LA to achieve some of its key objectives through buying a package of content across the secondary schools. 

The Local Authority Pack:

• Provides over £3,000 of content per secondary school, based on a selection of topic areas from throughout the product range
• Supplies content in 18 subject areas for each school.
• Is only available if purchased for all of the secondary schools in the LA, and costs £2,000 per school.

• Help drive VLE usage through the provision of market-leading VLE-compliant content.
• Facilitate ICT training because all departments and all schools have access to the same content.
• Build a community of ICT users who use the same format of content within the VLE.
• Uniquely wide-ranging: content from 18 subject areas ensures all departments see the benefit of the resources.
• Popular with schools who have already made significant investment in Boardworks as they can receive enhanced value on upgrades and new publishing.
• Perceived as particularly good value by the schools, as they are treated equally.  

• With 80% of schools using Boardworks, and over 20% using Boardworks in more than 7 departments, it is likely that in any LA some of the schools will be existing large Boardworks customers.
• If the LA chooses, individual schools can opt out of the standard Local Authority Pack and instead choose £3,000 of upgrades or new publishing from our very extensive catalogue of resources.

• The pack includes content from both KS3 and KS4 and is an ideal starter pack for many of the departments which have not yet got any VLE-compliant content.
• It contains over £3,000 worth of content over 18 subject areas for just £2,000 per school, including content from the following subject areas: Maths; English; Science; ICT; D&T; French; German or Spanish; Geography; History; RE; Citizenship; PSHEE; Music; Art; Drama; PE; and Business Studies.
• If you have a specific teaching and learning objective, such as driving standards in one key stage or embedding ICT in a specific subject area, we are happy to tailor the pack to your requirements.
