Job opportunities in Engineering: free teaching resources

A great way to get students interested in Engineering is to illustrate the wide variety of careers engineers can pursue.

We’ve produced some free teaching resources about job opportunities to give your students a better idea of what engineers can do after studying.

For example, do your students know that:

• Engineers are needed to design wetsuits?
• Engineers can pursue arts jobs within engineering companies?

Ensure they find out by downloading our free resources!

The Use of Computers in Engineering

To help teach your students about how CAD is used in Engineering and about the role of CAM, we’ve created a PowerPoint presentation that’s free to download below.

A timed activity testing students’ knowledge of the stages of the CNC machining process encourages participation; useful images of 3D models save you research time; and mapping to the AQA Unit 3 specifications allows you to be confident that your teaching is aligned with the curriculum.
